eXtreme Adventures 2017-2018

The eXtreme Adventures program is back! We are ready for lots of excitement and adventures during the 2017-2018 program series! These programs are open to kids in 7th-9th grade for the 2017-2018 school year. Kids may register for one program, all four, or any combination in between! Registration forms and payment must be received to reserve a spot in eXtreme Adventures. Programs have a limit of 10 participants, so don't delay!

Saturday, January 27

9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Iowa Raptor Project

Calling all raptor lovers! Head to Iowa City for a visit to the Iowa Raptor Project. Meet with the raptor rehab team along with some live raptors and learn about how they're helping these large birds.




Saturday, March 3

9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Maple Syruping

Explore the time honored tradition of making maple syrup. Learn about maple trees and get the chance to extract sap and make maple syrup




Friday, June 8

2:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Off-Trail Exploration

       Join up with a Nature Conservancy expert and explore some the best kept secrets of the unknown preserves in and around Louisa County. After we will head to Langwood for dinner and night activities!





Friday, August 10

9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Paddling Adventure

Head to Terry Trueblood Lake in Iowa City for a paddling adventure. Standup paddleboarding may be an option. Experts will be on hand to give us some tips for this unique paddling experience.
