Louisa Interpretive Center

The Louisa Interpretive Center has not yet been built although the plans are on paper and the dream is slowly becoming a reality.  The future LIC site will be adjacent to Langwood Education Center and some of the groundwork has already been completed with the assistance of National Scenic Byway Grants.

To date (2014) a pond has been built and stocked with fish and a wetland has been created.  As the old saying goes, "If you build it, they will come" has held true as a diversity of birds, reptiles, mammals, insects and amphibians have taken advantage of the new habitat provided.
